Our 3D class were tasked with creating digital backdrops for the Swedish Cosplay SM festival. One of the backdrops was going to be Cinderellas bedroom from 1950. I first made a quick blockout in Blender. I then created one small wooden piece which I textured in Substance Painter and then crafted the roof and wooden pieces in the scene. Rest of the texturing was done directly in Blender and Unreal respectively. The background outside the window is 2D planes taken directly from the original film and plit up into layers. This was a group assignment and most assets were made by classmates. I then worked on the light design for the shot and played around mostly with directional lighting and some spot lights in the hallway. We then rendered a 1 minute video which the cosplayer for Cinderella will use during the competition.
Final render in Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen and Raytracing.
