"Moving In Day" Trying Out Optical MoCap

For my first ever try at motion capture we got to shoot a short performance which we then cleaned in QTM. The data was then processed over to motion builder were we retargeted it to characters from the Mixamo library. I then moved over to Blender for mesh cleanup using animation layers. Then everything was brought into Unreal Engine 5 and rendered using Lumen. It was fun and will definitely work more with this in the future, but I had massive problems with twisting bones between the programs. So will have to learn more about that!

Final render in Unreal Engine 5. For some reason the forearm bones are twisted, but not in Blender/Motionbuilder.

Raw data from motion capture studio and cleanup in QTM.

Retargeting in Motionbuilder.
